Trees are particularly sensitive to the impact of rising average temperatures. A number of species that thrive in their local environments today are at risk of becoming potentially unsuited as global warming changes weather patterns and the frequency of extreme events such as drought and flood. We understand our emissions impact both our local and global community and, consistent with our purpose of “Preserve and Prosper”, play our part through carbon reduction activities and practices complemented by an annual carbon footprint assessment and CO2-e equivalent offset through procuring internationally certified carbon credits to 100% offset our carbon emissions.
Our Beneficiaries
The AGS team takes great pride in our business, our clients and the work we do. We also take considerable pride in the fact that a portion of our profits go to charitable endeavours. This is a unique capability of a private business. “Avenues of Honour” is one such beneficiary, a fantastic project of national tree planting which links and revives more than 600 living historic sites around Australia that honour Australians who have made the supreme sacrifice in war. Mental health and children’s charities are other focus areas.
